The Almandine garnet is mined from the beaches off the Gulf of Mannar in India. The grains have a unique cuboidal form as a result of hundreds of years of wave undulation.
During the mining and processing there is no grinding or breaking of particles. Hence Red River Garnet is a genuine virgin almandine garnet. Almandine garnet is the heaviest and the hardest of garnets.
Magnetic Separation is used to remove heavy metals. A sieving process is used to size our garnet according to our strict standards followed by several washing processes ensures pure clean garnet.
